Last year, Rick Grimes and his group of survivors were confronted with their deadliest challenge yet. With the comfort of Alexandria, they let their guard down, only to be reminded how brutal the world they live in can be. The introduction of Negan and the Saviors broke our group.
Feeling powerless under Negan's rules and demands, Rick advocated the group play along. But seeing that Negan couldn't be reasoned with, Rick began rallying together other communities affected by the Saviors. And with the support of the Hilltop and Kingdom, they finally have enough fire power to contest the Saviors.
This year, Rick brings "All Out War" to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, better-equipped, and ruthless -- but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive.
Up until now, survival has been the focus of Rick and our group, but it's not enough. They have to fight to take back their freedom so that they can live. So that they can rebuild. As with any battle, there will be losses. Casualties. But with Rick leading the Alexandrian forces, Maggie leading the Hilltop, and King Ezekiel leading the Kingdom -- Negan and the Saviors' grip on this world may finally be coming to an end.
Negan brutally forced Rick and the group to fall under his will in the first half of Season 7, and now Rick understands that Negan cannot be reasoned with, and that he and his group have to prepare to go to war.
The second half of Season 7 is about getting ready to take Negan down once and for all. Victory will require more than just the supplies and numbers in Alexandria, and while in pursuit of more weapons, food and new fighters, Rick and the group will be tested in ways we've never seen before. They'll explore a world that is much bigger than anything they've encountered.
The group will rise up and band together, but nothing can prepare them for all-out battle with Negan and his army.
Season Six starts with Alexandria's safety shattered by multiple threats. To make it, the people of Alexandria will need to catch up with our survivors’ hardness while many of our survivors will need to take a step back from the violence and pragmatism they've needed to embrace. These reversals of roles won't happen easily. Or without conflict.
But now our group is fighting for something more than survival... They're fighting for their home, and they will defend that at any cost, against any threat.
Even if that threat comes from within.
SEASON 5 Part B
After the tragic events of the mid-season finale -- as well as losing the possibility of a cure in Washington, DC — Rick Grimes’ band of survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day to day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope.
Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp on to what little they have left. Though they are still breathing, the line between Rick's group and the dead is starting to blur.
Could there be anything at this point that brings them back to life?
SEASON 5 Part A
Season Four of The Walking Dead ended with Rick and the group outgunned, outnumbered, and trapped in a train car awaiting a grim fate.
Season Five picks up shortly thereafter. What follows is a story that weaves the true motives of the people of Terminus with the hopeful prospect of a cure in Washington, D.C., the fate of the group's lost comrades, as well as new locales, new conflicts, and new obstacles in keeping the group together and staying alive.
Stories will break apart and intersect. The characters will find love and hate. Peace and conflict. Contentment and terror. And, in the quest to find a permanent, safe place to call home, one question will haunt them...
After all they've seen, all they've done, all they've sacrificed, lost, and held onto no matter what the cost... Who do they become?
In Season 4 of The Walking Dead, we see Rick and the group of survivors fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group's home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., The Wire).
Following the explosive second season finale, the survivors find themselves once again on the move, facing more threats and obstacles than ever in a world increasingly hopeless and ravaged by walkers.
After failing to find answers at the Center of Disease Control, police officer Rick Grimes and the group are on the road again. Their struggle for survival takes them out of Atlanta in search for a safe haven in a world ravaged by a zombie epidemic.
After waking from a coma in an abandoned hospital, police officer Rick Grimes finds the world he knew gone - ravaged by a zombie epidemic of apocalyptic proportions. Nearby, on the outskirts of Atlanta, a small encampment struggles to survive as 'the dead' stalk them at every turn. Can Rick and the others hold onto their humanity as they fight to live in this terrifying new world? And, amidst dire conditions and personal rivalries, will they ultimately survive one another?
