Michael Schofield is a desperate man in a desperate situation. His brother Lincoln is on death row and scheduled to die in a few months for an assassination he didn’t commit. With no other options and the clock ticking, Michael holds up a bank to get himself incarcerated alongside his brother. Once inside, Michael – a structural engineer with the blueprints for the prison now tattooed across his body – begins an elaborate plan to break Lincoln out and clear his name. As the brothers form alliances with a rogue’s gallery of felons and try to stay one step ahead of prison guard Captain Bellick, Lincoln’s attorney and former girlfriend Veronica works from the outside to unravel the conspiracy that goes all the way to the White House.
